Exterior Polymerized Tung Oil Sealer

Description

Sutherland Welles Ltd.^® Exterior Polymerized Tung Oil finish requires timely maintenance to protect the wood. With multiple seasonal cycles the finish will eventually develop hairline fractures that allow moisture to invade, but with timely maintenance coats those fractures are filled in with new Tung Oil and help keep the finish intact. Ultraviolet light from the sun is the biggest threat as it completely weakens the finish. So how often to re-apply the Exterior Tung Oil will be a function of how much sun it gets, but at a minimum we recommend an annual application. Timely maintenance reduces the labor involved to keep a project looking great and well protected. Reapplication is easy, just clean and re-coat.
