First of all, we should explain that We Hate This Page!

The color you see in a piece of furniture or a floor is a reflection of the wood it's made of, its age, the lighting, and the rest of the room it's in. It's hard enough to capture in a photograph, and we shudder to think what it looks like on your computer screen! Nonetheless, we know that we won't sell you any stain if you can't see what color it is. This is our best shot.

You might think that we would stain some pieces of wood and then photograph them for this page.  The color you'd see, though, would depend on the wood we made the samples from. And your own project might come out looking very different.

We've found that 'splotches' like we've shown below are the best way to demonstrate the range of shading you can achieve with our stains. The splotch on the left is undiluted -- the most intense color possible. And the splotch on the right has been diluted to show the essence of the color. You can achieve any depth of color in this range.

No, the dark splotches aren't all black. There is simply more color in our stains than our our camera can handle!   Call us or use one of the the feedback forms on our site and ask for our free Stain Samples Booklet. In good natural light, you'll be able to choose which of our stains' rich colors are right for your project.
